EL CAMPO — Andrew Mickle Heflin, 81, of El Campo, died Friday in Wharton.
Funeral services will be at 4 p.m. Saturday at the Wheeler Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Rick DuBroc officiating.
Burial will be in the Garden of Memories Cemetery in El Campo under the direction of Wheeler Funeral Home.
He was born June 7, 1909, in Fields Store, to the late George Jackson and Ava Virginia Vanhowten Heflin. He was retired from Halliburton.
Surviving are his wife, Josephine Frenchmeyer Heflin of El Campo; six daughters, Audrey Philpot of New Caney, Jessie Fritsch of La Grange, Nancy Christiansen of Houston, Debbie Smith of Alvin, Charlotte Hansen and Jenny Orsak, both of El Campo; a son, Wayne Heflin of Porter; a sister, Hattie Thompson of Plantersville; a brother, Leroy Heflin of Hempstead; 19 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Pallbearers will be W.D. Kelly, L.A. "Dutch" Hansen, Johnny Priesmeyer, Dave Tullos, Mo Moller and Sylvester Falcon. Honorary pallbearers will be his grandsons.
