Louise A. Chiotes, 89, formerly of Easton died Monday, December 27, 2010 in Texas.
Born: September 2, 1921, she was a daughter of the late Leo and Margaret Hune Kranz.

Personal: Her husband, George Chiotes, died in 2008. She was a graduate of St. Vincent's Hospital School of Nursing, Mary Manse College, Toledo, OH, Universite' de Caen-Normandie, France and University of Toledo. She had a 30 year career in nursing and health care administration most recently as Director of Nurses for the Greater New York Blood Program. Prior to that she worked for the National Health Services, New York Telephone Co. and was Supervisor of Surgical Specialties for the Veterans Administration in New York City. Louise and her husband George were avid world travelers.

Memberships: She was a member of Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church, Easton.

Survivors: Her brother, Eugene Kranz of Dickinson, TX and nieces and nephews.

Her sister, Helen Kittle died earlier.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Monday in the Ashton Funeral Home, 1337 Northampton St., Easton. Call from 9:30 a.m. until service time Monday in the funeral home. Internment in Easton Cemetery.
