OBITUARY:Morning Call, The (Allentown, PA) - March 31, 2008
Deceased Name: George Chiotes
George Chiotes, 92, of Easton, died Saturday in his home. Born in New York City, he was a son of the late Costas and Basilike (Demakou) Chiotes. He and his wife, Louise A. (Kranz) Chiotes were married 42 years in October. He was the inspector general for the state of New York, division of veteran affairs. He graduated from Colgate University, Columbia University and New York Law School. He served in the Army during World War II. He was a member of Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, Wilson.
Survivors: In addition to his wife, Louise, he is survived by his sister, Helen Chiotes.
Services: 11 a.m. Tuesday in Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church. Call from 7-8 p.m. today in the church. The Ashton Funeral Home, Easton, is handling the arrangements.
