Ioannis Ioannis Gavakos OR Kavakos

He is the grandfather of Elaine Sullivan who is a Gavakos -- she emailed me July 2018
My mother’s maiden name was Antoinette Kavakos and her brother was Kanellos (Neil) Kavakos.
Her father (my grandfather) was John (Ioannis) Kavakos – or Ioannis Ioannis Gavakos – from Sparta, born approx. 1875. He came to the US in 1888. He owned a hotel called the Delavan in Coney Island as well as the original Tunnels of Love. He was also a founding member of St. Constantine & Helen Church. His names is on a plaque right inside the church.
My grandfather’s brother was also Kanellos Kavakos.
