Obituary, from FindAGrave Memorial:Katherine "Peg" Zarafonetis Catis was born May 9, 1911 in Hillsboro, Texas to Charles A. and Kanello Saketa Zarafonetis. She passed away Friday, May 2, 2013.
Upon graduating from Hill County Junior College, a rare feat for an immigrant daughter in Texas in the 1920's, she worked for Texas Power & Light and on Sundays, played the piano for the Presbyterian church.
Her marriage to Pete Constantine Catis in 1941 moved her to New Orleans where they lived until his sudden death in 1952.
She continued her love for the church through service to the Daughters of Penelope, the Philoptipos Society and the food festival. Her working life concluded as secretary for Holy Trinity Church. She also spent many years volunteering at Baylor Hospital.
She is predeceased by her parents and siblings, Pepecha Booziotis, Angelus Zarafonetis and George Zarafonetis.
Funeral will be held at the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church. Burial will be in Ridgepark Hillsboro, TX.

Trisayon service will be held at 7:00 P.M., Monday, May 6, 2013, at Sparkman Hillcrest. Funeral will be held at 10:00 A.M. at the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church. Burial will be in Hillsboro, TX. Memorials may be made to the Daughters of Penelope or any charity of your choice.
