3 Get Service Leave in Time to Visit Mother Before DeathMrs. Stella LaRicos, who, although gravely ill, lived to see her four sons reunited last month after a three-year separation, died on Sunday at her home, 3201 Mondawmin avenue. Only two of her sons--Chief Petty Officer Peter LaRicos, of the Maritime Service, and Patrolman William G. LaRicos, of the Baltimore Police force--were with her when she died. Peter is home on leave after two years of Atlantic convoy duty.
Had Returned to Duty
The others, who, like Peter, had obtained special leaves from overseas assignments to visit their mother when they learned she was ill, had returned to duty. They are First Lieutenant John LaRicos, with the Quartermaster Corps in the Mediterranean theater, and Technical Sergeant Deno LaRicos, with army air forces in the South Pacific.
Besides her four sons she is survived by her husband, George, and by three daughters, Mrs. Michael A. Korcos and Rita and Betty LaRicos.
Born in Sparta, Greece
Mrs. LaRicos, born in Sparta, Greece, came to this country in 1902 and has made her home in Baltimore for many years.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 P.M. tomorrow at the home, continuing at the Evangelismos Greek Orthodox Church, Preston street and Maryland avenue, with the Rev. Ioakim Pappachristou officiating. Burial will be in the Greek Orthodox cemetery.
