Political: Whig. Early pioneer of Green CO., Ohio, living there until 1831, then pushing on further west into Indiana, near the old Tippecanoe battle ground, in Tippecanoe Co. Farmed until 1839, then moved across the Mississippi into Henry County, Iowa. Entered a claim from the government and constructed a comfortable homestead and there he remained until 1850.
