Per Chet Peter's book: Peter purchased uncleared land in Wayne Twp, Indiana prior to 1850, started cutting the timber, then apparently became discouraged and turned the property; over to his brother Robert and moved to Michigan where he lived the rest of his life. There was no son Jacob listed in Chet's book.
Fact I: Birthplace-Bedford Co., Virginia
