1855 Census New York shows a Mary H with a note written on line as adopted. She is listed as being 2yrs of age for approx birth of 1853. Family Cemetery Plot records shows a Mary E with a much different birth age. Records there also show her as daughter of Barna and Margaret Burkhart. More research is needed.
