John Howland

RESIDENCE: Plymouth, Massachusetts, and Marshfield, Massachusetts then by 1658 in Barnstable, Barnstable, Massachusetts. John and Mary moved to a parcel of land that John Howland, Sr. owned just west of Bridge Creek in West Barnstable.
CHURCH: Joined West Parish (Great Marshes) Church, Barnstable, Barnstable, Massachusetts 18 June 1699. By 1715 the Barnstable Church split into two parishes, east and west. Mostr of the Howland, Chipman, and Gorham descendants attended the West Parish. That 1717 church still stands atop a hill on Meetinghouse Way in West Barnstable.
