Death
FURR, George W., 69, a resident of Montgomery, AL, died peacefully at home, on Thursday, January 15, 2009, after an extended illness. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, January 18, 2009, at 2:00 p.m., from the Chapel of Prattville Memorial, with Chaplain Bill Tucker officiating. Mr. Furr was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather who will be deeply missed. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Kathy Wilson. He is survived by his beloved wife of 51 years, Betty Furr; one daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and Mike Richardson; six grandchildren, Brandon, Summer, Brooke, Jason, Britt, and Dani; two brothers, Rogers (Edith) Furr and James Furr; and four brothers-in-law, Danny (Wanda) Stephenson, Doc (Margaret) Stephenson, Billy (Sandra) Stephenson, and Ricky (Joy) Stephenson. The family will receive friends at Prattville Memorial Chapel following the service.Montgomery Advertiser, January 17, 2009
