Death
Bernita Mattie (Furr) Boyd, 83, McComb, MS, (formerly of Kansas City) passed away November 21, 1995, at Southwest Mississippi Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday in the Catchings Chapel, McComb; burial in Little Bahala Baptist Church Cemetery, Lincoln County, MS. Visitation will be 9 a.m. until service time Saturday at the chapel. Mrs. Boyd was born in Lincoln County, MS, to Marion F. Furr and Mary F. Furr, August 24, 1912. She was a Baptist. She was retired from the Bendix Corporation in Kansas City. She was preceded in death by her mother, father, two brothers, and one sister. Survivors include her husband, Truitt R. Boyd, McComb, MS; two sisters-in-law, Christine Boyd Johnson, McComb, MS, Hula Boyd Whitehurst, Wiggins, MS; and several nieces and nephews.Endnotes
