Marvin James officiating. Private burial will be in Llano Cemetery. Mrs. Fotheringham was born Dec. 24, 1931, in Amarillo. She was the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. C.W. Furr and the daughter of Key and Juanita Furr. She graduated from Amarillo High School and Gulf Park College. She attended Colorado University, the University of Miami and the University of Texas. She was a lifelong member of the First Christian Church, Amarillo Law Wives, Amarillo Junior League, P.E.O., Daughters of the American Revolution, National Association of Women in the Arts, the Presidents Club and one of the founders of the Samaritan Counseling Center. She was an incredibly artistic person, expressing herself through weaving and clay horse sculptures, always admiring a horse's graceful nature. Her compassionate spirit will live on through the abundant lives she touched. She married Tom J. Fotheringham in 1954. Survivors include her husband; a brother, Charles Key Furr and wife, Beatriz, of Devon, Pa.; two daughters, Tammy Russell of Amarillo and Teri Fotheringham of Denver; four grandchildren, Carolyn Nicole Koetting and husband, Dan, John Atkins, Lisa Atkins and Laura Atkins; a great-grandson, Colby Koetting; and a host of other relatives and friends. The family suggests, in lieu of flowers, memorials be to Samaritan Pastoral Counseling Center of Amarillo, 200 N.W. Seventh Ave., Amarillo, TX 79107; or to a favorite charity.
