Upshur FURR

(1808 - 1858)

His connection to Leonard Furr, Jr. is not proven. According to Debi Baugh, she has a letter to Edith Whitley from Frances Sowell Edgemon that states that Upshur is believed to be a child of Leonard and Nancy Williams Furr.

Rick Monroe shows his first name as Upsher. He also states that "in 1842, Upsher received a share of the proceeds of the estate of Levi Deaton, my g-g-g-grandfather, presumably as the husband of one of Levi's daughters."
