Death
James N. Furr, Sr., 94, died Wednesday, March 31, 2004, at Central Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson. Graveside services are 2 p.m. today in Lakewood Memorial Park with visitation after 12 noon at the funeral home. Mr. Furr was a retired engine mechanic and was a member of Greenville Baptist Church in the Greenville Community. He was preceded in death by his first wife of 55 years, Christine Prescott Furr. He is survived by his wife of 14 years, Edith Furr; one son, James "Sonny" Furr, Jr. and his wife Bobbye of Jackson; one brother, Charles Ray Furr of Canton; one sister, Janell Rushing of Morton; two grandchildren, Jimmy Furr of Jackson and Lisa Gail Boleware and her husband Eddie of Vicksburg and four great-grandchildren; Jamie and Josh Furr and Blake and Amanda Boleware.The Clarion-Ledger, Jackson, Mississippi, April 2, 2004
