Death
Funeral services for Mrs. Flora Furr Smith, 85, of Route 3, Albemarle, a retired textile employee, were conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday in Bear Creek Primitive Baptist Church by Elder W. C. Allen. Internment followed in the church cemetery. Mrs. Smith died Friday night in Stanly County Hospital. Daughter of the late Ransom and Nancy Lambert Furr, she was born April 7, 1895, in Stanly County and was married to Rufus Coy Smith, who preceded her in death. She is survived by a sister, Mrs. Etha Bowers of Albemarle; a stepson, George Edward Smith of Gold Hill; two stepdaughters, Juanita Smith Brock of New London and Eunice Smith Brock of Troy; seven stepgrandchildren; five stepgreat-grandchildren ad one stepgreat-great-grandchild.
