ALBEMARLE — Mrs. Desby Staton, 77, died Sunday at Stanly County Hospital. Funeral 11 a.m. Wednesday at Bear Creek Trinity Baptist Church. Survivors: husband; sons, Ralph C. Staton of Baden, Paul D. Staton, Thomas E. Staton, both of Albemarle, Robert W. Staton of Norwood; brothers, Walton Furr, Reather Furr, both of Albemarle; sisters, Mrs. J. V.
