Death
Services for Margaret Josephine Furr were held in the First United Methodist church. She and Sam J. Furr, Jr. were married in Fort Worth, Texas. She was a retired business executive. Mrs. Furr was a member of the First United Methodist Church, past president of the Altruistic Club, member of the Daughters of the Confederacy, Daughters of the American Revolution, Hugenot Society Colonial Dames, Magna Carta Dames, Colonial Order of Crown, former director of Young County Red Cross and co-owner of the Credit Bureau of Olney. She had lived in Olney since 1945. Survived by her husband; two daughters - Margaret Furr Darden of Dallas and Betty Furr Richie of Graham; five grandchildren; one great-grandchild.Endnotes
