Death
Funeral services for Hubert Lee Mauldin, 56, of Whitley Street, Norwood, a retired employee of Arrowood, were conducted at 3 p.m. Sunday in Norwood Church of God, where he was a member. The Rev. Ted Smith officiated and interment was in Silver Springs Baptist Church Cemetery. Mr. Mauldin died at 4:18 p.m. Friday in Stanly Memorial Hospital after being stricken suddenly. Born in Stanly County October 17, 1931, he was a son of the late John Bruce and Pearl Elizabeth Moose Mauldin. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Evelyn Vanhoy Mauldin of the home; two sons, Barry Wayne Mauldin of Route 1, Norwood, and Jimmy Douglas Mauldin of the home; a daughter, Mrs. Kathy Taylor of Route 1, Albemarle; a brother, Ray Mauldin of Route 1, Albemarle; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.Stanly News and Press, Albemarle, North Carolina, July 19, 1988
