Death
Guy Earl Shoe, 74, of 937 Page St., Mt. Pleasant, died Tuesday, May 30, 2000, in NorthEast Medical Center. His funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Gordon Funeral Home Chapel in Mt. Pleasant. The Rev. Thomas Gibbs and The Rev. Earl Barringer will officiate and burial will be in Cabarrus Memorial Gardens, Concord. Born Nov. 5, 1925, in Cabarrus County, he was a son of the late Max Shoe and Jennie Lambert Shoe Moyle. He was a retired supervisor at Kindley Yarns of Mt. Pleasant and later worked at Dover's Supermarket. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Midland and had served as a member of the Mt. Pleasant Town Council. He is survived by his wife, Marie Furr Shoe; a son, Bruce Shoe of Stanfield; a daughter, Roxie Cranford of Kannapolis; a brother, Charles W. Shoe of Harrisburg; four grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 to 8 this evening.
