Death

Marie Furr Shoe, 94, of Mt. Pleasant, passed away, Tuesday, August 6, 2024 at Atrium-Cabarrus. Graveside service will be 2:00pm, Sunday, August 11, 2024 at Cabarrus Memorial Gardens, officiated by Rev. Randy Langford. The family will receive friends following the service at Marie’s residence on Page St., Mt. Pleasant. Mrs. Shoe was born December 11, 1929, in Stanly County, daughter of the late Ellis Furr and Pearl Johnson Furr. She was an active member of First Baptist Church, Midland. She enjoyed baking, reading her Bible and most of all spending time with her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Guy Earl Shoe. She is survived by a son Bruce Shoe (Pat); daughter, Roxie Shoe; sister, Frances Hartsell; four grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
