STANFIELD -- Guy Haskel Hefner, 65, of 4895 NC Hwy 200, died Thursday, May 29, 2003. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, June 2nd at Hartsell Funeral Home Chapel, Midland, Rev. Dwight Mabry officiating. Burial will follow in Sharon Memorial Park, Charlotte. The family will receive friends Sunday, June 1 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Hartsell Funeral Home, Midland, NC. Mr. Hefner was born in Union County, NC on September 16, 1937, son of the late Victoria Furr Hefner and Jones Benette Hefner. He was self employed as a heavy equipment operator/mechanic and a retired hay farmer. Mr. Hefner was preceded in death by a brother, Ken Hefner and two sisters, Margaret Helms and Jovenia Helms. Survivors are his wife, Florence Jane Brooks Hefner of Stanfield, NC; brothers, Bill Hefner and Don Hefner, both of Indian Trail, NC, Bobby Hefner of Chesterfield, SC and Jimmy Hefner of Mt. Holly, NC; sister, Sissy Acoth of Marshville, NC; granddaughter, Stephanie Hefner; and grandson, Marcus Hefner. The family will meet at the residence, 4895 NC Hwy 200, Stanfield, NC. Hartsell Funeral Home, Midland, is serving the Hefner Family.
