Death

Funeral services were conducted Sunday afternoon for Mrs. Byron N. Wilder, the former Miss Hester Furr of Hickory Flats, who died Saturday following an illness of about two weeks. Rev. Frank Cox was in charge of the service with burial following in the church cemetery under the direction of Clay's Funeral Home. The music was in charge of Olen Akers quartet. Mrs. Wilder, beloved resident of the Longview community, suffered a stroke and later developed pneumonia, to which was attributed her death. She was 58 years old and a member of the Longview Baptist church. Surviving, in addition to her husband, B. N. Wilder, are three sons, Milton Wilder of Cullman, Ala., Marvin Wilder of Pontotoc county, and Clarence Wilder of Memphis; three sisters, Mrs. Mary Shepherd of Oklahoma City, Mrs. Elford Jones of Pontotoc and Mrs. Frank Tuttle of Memphis; two brothers, Robert Furr of Hickory Flat and Gus Furr of Memphis, and four grandchildren, Martha Faye and Betty Jane Wilde of Pontotoc and Virginia and Milton Russell Wilder of Cullman, Ala.
