Death

Ritsu Furr, 96, of Norfolk, Virginia passed away on January 15, 2024. She was born in Japan to Ishijiro and Hatsui Bando in 1927. She is predeceased by her husband of 49 years, George Washington Furr. While living in Japan, Ritsu worked in the banking industry; once she settled in the United States, she became a seamstress for Camp Elmore in Norfolk. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Roy Furr and his wife Sandra of Tampa, Florida and Jo Ann Furr and her husband, Brian of Pompano Beach, Florida; grandchildren, Michelle, Brandon, Alyssa and Joshua; and a great-granddaughter, Camila. Ritsu was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who will be greatly missed. Mrs. Ritsu Furr will be interred at Rosewood Memorial Park at a later date.
