Death
Mrs. Lowell (Dorothy W.) Murphy, 40, RFD 1, Ottawa, Kan., formerly of Chillicothe, died Monday at University of Kansas Medical Center. She was born July 24, 1936, at Atoka, Okla., daughter of Garland Furr and Bonnie Robinn Furr. She had lived in Ottawa for two years, moving there from Chillicothe. She was self-employed at Timber-Built Company in Ottawa. On July 25, 1975, she was married to Lowell Murphy in Ottawa. She was a Baptist. Survivors include her husband, Lowell of the home; her father, Garland Furr, Baker, Okla.; son, John R. Parks of the home, a sister, Mrs. Edna Bayne, Jamesport, and grandmother, Mrs. Callie Furr, Baker, Okla. Funeral services will be held Thursday morning at 10:30 at the Dengel and Son Mortuary in Ottawa, with the Rev. Jim MeCrossen of the First Baptist church officiating. Graveside services will be held Thursday afternoon at 3 at the Memory Garden cemetery at Cameron.The Chillicothe Constitution-Tribune, Chillicothe, Missouri, August 24, 1976
