Death

Ronald O. Piette "Mr. P.", age 67, a long-time resident of Freeport, Florida, went to be with the Lord on June 2, 2012. He was born on November 23, 1944, to the late Lucien O. and Lillian Babbitt Piette, in Putnam, Connecticut. Ron was a truck driver for many years before becoming a pastor and touched the lives of many. He never missed an opportunity to share the gospel or extend his Christian love to anyone. He never met a stranger and had a very generous, charitable heart embracing those in need. He lived for the Lord and led by example. Ron loved his family and was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and friend. Ron is survived by his wife of nearly 50 years, Madelyn Piette; daughters, Patricia Ann Furr, Debra Lee Evans and her husband David, and Brenda Lee Piette; 7 grandchildren; and 4 great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held at Black Creek United Methodist Church on Monday, June 4, 2012, at 3:00 pm. The family received friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment followed at the Black Creek United Methodist Church Cemetery.
