Death
FERRIDAY — Services for Mary Etta Furr will be at 2 p.m. today in the chapel of Comer with the Rev. Sidney Fletcher officiating. Burial will be in New Pine Hill Cemetery, Sicily Island. Miss Furr, 90, of Gilbert died Friday night at Caldwell Memorial Hospital, Columbia. She was a native of Wesson, Miss. She was a longtime resident of Gilbert and a retired registered nurse. She was also a member of First Baptist Church, Gilbert. Survivors include two brothers, Roy Furr and Garland Furr, both of Sicily Island; and two sisters, Virgie Bird and DeLeta Peniston, both of Sicily Island. Pallbearers will be James C. Smith, W.R, Grayson, J.W. Allgood, John Bird, Hardy Hopkins and A.G, Bird.
