Death
SUNBURY — Mrs. Viola M. Furr, 61, of 313 Vine St. was pronounced dead on arrival in the Sunbury Community Hospital at 11:02 p.m. Thursday. Mrs. Furr had worked for the former Nite Kraft Corp., Sunbury, and was a member of the Ladies Garment Workers Union. She was of Methodist faith. Born in Shamokin, April 28, 1916, she was a daughter of the late John R. and Cora E. Shadle Kehler. Survivors are her husband, Ralph E., and the following children: Robert Fabian of Indianapolis, Ind., Mrs. Carol Watts of Sunbury RDI, Mrs. Dianne Tobias, Gary Furr, Timothy Furr and Miss Karen Furr, all of Sunbury; 14 grandchildren; a brother, Eugene Homer of Naugauct, Conn.; and a sister, Mrs. Margaret Geyer of Sunbury. A son, Chester Fabian died in 1969. The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday in the Zweier Funeral Home, Sunbury, by the Rev. Alan J. Keiffer, pastor of St. John’s Lutheran Church, Northumberland. Burial will be in Pomfret Manor Cemetery, Sunbury.
