Death

V.Lue G. Turbeville, 93, went home on Monday, May 2, 2011. She was a native of Tabor City, North Carolina and was a resident of Hampton for 60 years. V.Lue was a member of Greenwood Pentecostal Holiness Church and Faith Church of God., where she attended the Women's Bible Class. She made her church a great part of her life. V.Lue is preceded in death by her husband, C. A. Turbeville; her parents, Joshua and Jane Gore; three brothers, four sisters; two grandsons; and one granddaughter. She is survived by her daughters, June T. Furr, Linda Turbeville, and Cindy T. Zember and her husband, Buddy; sons, Sam Turbeville and his wife, Reba, and Timothy D. Turbeville, Sr.; 13grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; 17 great-great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-great-grandchild - that's six generations! The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, May 4, 2011 at Parklawn-Wood Funeral Home. A celebration of V.Lue's life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 5, at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Parklawn Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Association, 5712 Cleveland St., Ste. 100, Virginia Beach, VA 23462.
