Death
Mrs. Myrtle Furr Boatwright, 77, of 6308 Wilson Grove Rd. died Oct. 2, 1989, at Presbyterian Hospital. Funeral is 11 a.m. Thursday at New Hope Baptist Church, where she was a member. Burial will be in Emmanuel Cemetery in Union County. Visitation is 7 to 9 tonight at McEwen Funeral Home, Mint Hill chapel. Mrs. Boatwright, a Monroe native, was a retired Presbyterian Hospital X-ray technician. Survivors are her son, John Pressley of Mint Hill; brothers, D.L. Furr Jr. of Indian Trail, Sanford Furr of Kannapolis; sisters, Mrs. Rena Belk of Concord, Mrs. Hazel Warwick; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren. Memorials can be made to New Hope Baptist Church, 7841 Idlewild Rd., Charlotte, N.C. 28212.The Charlotte Observer, Charlotte, North Carolina, October 4, 1989
