Death
NORTON WALNUT COVE - Mrs. Gladys Ramelle Norton, 73, formerly of Albemarle, died Wednesday, August 18, 2010 at Forsyth Medical Center. She was born August 16, 1937 in Stanley County to Tillman and Minnie Greene Furr. Mrs. Norton was of the Presbyterian faith and was a homemaker. A 2 p.m. Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, August 21, 2010 at Forsyth Memorial Park in Winston-Salem with the Rev. Robert Price officiating. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her three sisters; and her two brothers. She is survived by two daughters, Sharon Rominger and husband, Ricky of Walnut Cove and Kathy Rickles and husband, Kenny of Mocksville; three grandchildren: Briana Hutchins of Welcome, Tana Mulcahy of El Paso, TX, Andrea Miller of Lexington; one sister, Alma Harwood; and one brother, J.D. Furr, both of Albemarle. The family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m., Friday, August 21, 2010 at Burroughs Funeral Home and other times at her daughter, Sharon Rominger's home.
