Death
AUGUSTA, Ga. - Mr. Richard Anthony Furr, Sr., 65, husband of Martha McDonald Furr into rest Friday, November 23, 2012, at University Hospital. Graveside funeral services will be held Sunday, November 25, 2012, at 3:00 PM in Hillcrest Memorial Park with Pastor Andy Collins officiating. Family and friends will gather at the gravesite. Pallbearers will be Pat Gregory, Ryan Gregory, Marty Braswell, Daniel Kitchings, Brian Briggs and Rickey Gay. He was a carpenter for Scotts Woodworks and of the baptist faith. He was preceeded in death by his son, Richard Anthony Furr, Jr. Other survivors include his son, Greg Furr of Augusta; step-sons, Rickey Gay of Augusta, Les Kitchings of Aiken, SC and Troy Covington of Augusta; step-daughters, Deborah Wigginton, Sharon Atkins and Pamela Lucas; brother, Daniel Furr of Augusta; sister, Rita Perkins of Easley, SC. In lieu of flowers the family request donations to the University Hospital Cancer Center 1350 Walton Way Augusta, GA 30901.
