Death
Services for Martha Lou Whitener, 69, Houston, formerly of Trinidad, are scheduled for 1 p.m. Monday in First Baptist Church of Malakoff with the Rev. Pete Pulley officiating. Burial will be in Trinidad Cemetery under direction of Tomlinson Funeral Home, Malakoff. Mrs. Whitener died Saturday in Houston. She was born Aug. 22, 1926, in Trinidad to the late Murphy and Lou Cantrell Drake. She operated a day care in Houston. Survivors include her husband, Troy Whitener, Houston; daughter, K.R. Daylor; son, W.P. Whitener; sister-in-law, N. Drake; grandchildren, R. Malone, E. Malone and V. Doylor; one nephew, C. Drake; and one niece, D. Brownlow.Pallbearers include Ben Brownlow, Brad Brownlow, Casey Brownlow, Blaine Drake, Steven Daylor and Chris Drake.
