Death
Elizabeth M. Furr, Bookkeeper. Elizabeth M. Furr of Warrenton died March 27 at Fauquier Hospital at the age of 90. During World War II, Mrs. Furr worked making lifeboats and parachutes for the war effort. She later worked as a bookkeeper in Mississippi. In 1977, she and her late husband moved to Warrenton. She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Caleb Furr. Survivors include two daughters, Gloria F. Buck of Warrenton and Barbara Wayland of Orlean; six grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren. A sister, May Ella Berry of Memphis, Tenn., also survives. Funeral Services were held March 30 in the Warrenton Baptist Church with interment at Leeds Cemetery, Markham. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Warrenton Baptist Church, 123 Main Street, Warrenton, VA 20186 for the Annie Armstrong North American Missions offering; or to the Warrenton Volunteer Rescue Squad, PO Box 3370, Warrenton Va. 20188Endnotes
