Death
Prentiss L. Furr, Route 4, Brookhaven, died Saturday, June 7, at the King’s Daughters Hospital. He was 53 years old. A barber and farmer by occupation, Mr. Furr lived in Lincoln County all his life. He was a Baptist, and services were held at the Union Hall Baptist Church with burial at Easthaven. Hartman in charge. Rev. Slaymaker and Rev. Robert Wall conducted. Mr. Furr leaves his wife, Edna; a son, Charles, Route 4, Brookhaven; two daughters, Mrs. Mildred Blackwell, Route 14, and Mrs. Claude Butler, Ohio; a granddaughter, Donnis; three brothers, John and Dan of Brookhaven and Preston of Pittsboro. 6/12/1958Endnotes
