Death
Sidney S. Furr, 78, of Thomasville, Ga., died Saturday, Jan. 4, 1997, in Thomasville. Furr was a native of Jackson and a member of the Newcomers Club, Colonial Dames, Daughters of the American Revolution and Wednesday Night Duplicate Bridge Club. Survivors include a daughter, Linda Carter of Thomasville; two brothers, Ed Starr of Washington and Jack N. Starr of Jackson: and three grandchildren. Visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. today at Riemann Funeral Home, 25th Avenue, Gulfport.
