SALISBURY - Carl Steven Flora, 59, of Salisbury, passed away Monday, Aug. 3, 2009, at his residence. Born Jan. 10, 1950, in Rowan County, he was the son of the late Mildred Furr Flora and Herbert Flora, Jr. A graduate of Boyden High School, he was the co-owner of Flora Steel Co. Survivors include his wife, Jennifer Brock Flora, whom he married Oct. 27, 2001; step-sons Edward Schneider (Megan) and Zachary Schneider (Renee); and brother Larry Flora, all of Salisbury. Visitation: 7-8:30 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 5 at Lyerly Funeral Home. Service: 1 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 6 in the James C. Lyerly Chapel. Burial will follow at Chestnut Hill Cemetery.
