Death

GASTONIA - Jerry D. Arrendale, 41, passed away June 2, 2008, at his residence. He was born Oct. 27, 1966, in Gaston County, son of Shirley Barrett Furr of Gastonia and the late John D. Furr. Jerry was employed with Pioneer Motor Bearings in Kings Mountain. Funeral service will be 3 p.m. Thursday at Greene Funeral Service, West Chapel in Gastonia. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. In addition to his mother, survivors include his daughter, Cierra Cheyanne Arrendale of Bessemer City; brothers, Dennis J. Arrendale, Tim L. Arrendale and Mike C. Arrendale, all of Gastonia and Johnny Furr and Eric Furr of S.C.; sister and brother-in-law, Tina and Tony Jolly of Gastonia; seven nieces and four nephews. He was preceded in death by his father and also, brothers, Larry B. and Malcom C. Arrendale; and sis-ter, Kathy D. Arrendale. The Revs. Chuck Dalton and Fain Farmer will be officiating. Pallbearers will be David Barber, James Braswell, Eugene Carroll, Charles Chastaine, Steve Dunn and Todd Edwards. Interment is at Grover City Cemetery in Grover. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, 222 S. Church St., ste. 303, Charlotte, NC 28202.
