Death
KANNAPOLIS - Margaret Litaker Seaford, 89, of N. East Avenue, died Thursday, Feb. 28, 2008, at CMC-NorthEast, Concord. The funeral service will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Whitley's Funeral Home Main Chapel, Kannapolis, with the Rev. Lewis Gunn officiating. Interment will be at West Lawn Memorial Park, China Grove. The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. Saturday at Whitley's Funeral home. Mrs. Seaford was born Oct. 19, 1918 in Rowan County the daughter of the late Newton Pharr Litaker and the late Clara Smith Litaker. She retired from Cannon Mills Company, Sample Department. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, and putting together puzzles. She was preceded in death by her husband, R. Watson Seaford Sr. who died her 1995. Survivors include his daughter, Carol S. Stuckey of Atlanta, Ga.; sons, Raymond Seaford of Kannapolis and Gary Seaford of Clover, S.C.; nine grandchildren; 15 great-grandchilden; and one great-great-grandchild; sisters, Betty Furr of Kannapolis and Gladys Litker of Kannapolis.
