Death

Coy Eugene Honeycutt, 74 of Longs died Thursday. Coy was born November 13, 1939 in Oakboro, NC, a son of the late Riley and Mannie Furr Honeycutt and was predeceased by eight brothers and three sisters. He owned and operated an automobile salvage business in Longs. Coy was a Deacon and a member of the Christian Church of Myrtle Beach. Coy was an active supporter of The Promised Land Ministry. He is survived by his wife, Karen White Honeycutt; four sons Michael Wayne Honeycutt of Longs, Charles Eric Honeycutt of Charlotte, NC, Michael Lott of Huntersville, NC and Coy “Chip” Honeycutt, Jr. of North Myrtle Beach; four daughters, Debbie Tallent of Burlington, NC, Sharon McInnis of High Point, NC, Tammy Fertenbaugh of Concord, NC and Lisa Pelgram of Concord, NC; step son Buddy Dixon of Longs, SC and Karen Young of Longs, SC; three brothers, Marvin Honeycutt, R. H. Honeycutt, and A. P. Honeycutt, all of Concord, NC. He is also survived by twenty-two grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, December 9, 2013 at the Christian Church of Myrtle Beach, 1226 Burcale Road, Myrtle Beach, SC. The family will receive friends following the service. Memorial donations may be made in Coy’s name at: The Promised Land Ministry, c/o Christian Church of Myrtle Beach, 1226 Burcale Road, Myrtle Beach, SC 29579. Condolences may be made at: www.burroughsfh.com.
