Betty Stewart CONCORD Betty Jean Barbee Stewart, 75, of 340 Cliffwood Street NW, Concord, passed away Monday, Oct. 24, 2011, at her home. She was born Oct. 10, 1936, in Cabarrus County to the late Roy William and Eva Idell Furr Barbee. She worked for C&A in Charlotte as a key punch operator. The family meeting place will be at the home. A visitation will be held at Hartsell Funeral Home in Concord today, Wednesday, Oct. 26, from 6 until 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held at Hartsell Funeral Home Chapel Thursday, Oct. 27, at 11 a.m. Burial will follow at West Concord Cemetery. She is survived by her husband, George Richard Stewart, of the home; her daughter, Donna Stewart Taylor, of Concord; her brother, Frank Barbee, of Kannapolis; her sisters, Irene Campbell, of Concord; Wilma Clontz, of Midland; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
