Death
Veda Abertine Lisenby Furr, 84, of Norwood, passed away Monday afternoon, July 15, 2013 at home. A graveside service will be held at 11:00AM, Thursday, July 18, 2013 at Norview Gardens in Norwood. Rev. Bobby Mowery will officiate. Mrs. Furr was born January 15, 1929 in Stanly County to the late Otis and Alice Lefler Lisenby. She was last employed by Young Manufacturing and was a member of South Stanly Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel Paul Furr and son, Chris Furr. She is survived by son, Mike Goss and wife, Rachel of Norwood; daughter, Jodie Blume of Greenville, SC; sisters, Anne Allen of Polkton and Evelyn Hinson of Matthews; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.Endnotes
