Death

YORK - Mr. Dennis Eugene McManus, 58, died Monday, Dec. 3, 2012, at his home. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 7, 2012, at Solid Rock Baptist Church on Brickyard Road in Fort Mill, S.C., with the Rev. Princeton Terry officiating. Burial will be at Laurelwood Cemetery in Rock Hill, S.C. Born in Rock Hill, Dennis was a son of the late Ernest Robert McManus and Ella Mae Furr McManus. He was the owner and operator of Sufficient Roofing Company and was a member of Solid Rock Baptist Church. He loved horses and enjoyed playing the guitar. Most of all, Dennis valued spending time with his family. Surviving are his wife, Patsy Hyatt McManus; two sons, Roger Huskey and Jason Huskey, both of York; his daughter, Paula Pettigrew of York; two brothers, Robert Wayne McManus and his wife, Sharon of Jacksonville, N.C., and Terry Lee McManus and his wife, Kathy of Lake Wylie, S.C.; three sisters, Barbara Ann Eddington, Kathy Elizabeth McManus and her husband, Gene and Donna Cherry, all of Rock Hill; and numerous grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 6, 2012, at Wolfe Funeral Home Chapel, and other times at the home.
