Death
YORK -- Mr. Ernest Robert McManus, 82, of 5279 Golden Pond Drive died Tuesday, July 4, 2006, at home. The funeral will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Flint Hill Baptist Church, with the Rev. Princeton Terry officiating. Burial will be at Flint Hill Baptist Church cemetery. A native of Fort Mill, Mr. McManus was a son of the late John Franklin McManus and Sarah Elizabeth McManus. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and was a member of the Eli Bailes American Legion Post 43. Mr. McManus was a former employee of Daniel Construction and Celanese. He was a member of Solid Rock Baptist Church. He was the widower of Ella Mae Furr McManus. Surviving are three sons, Wayne McManus of Jacksonville, Terry Lee McManus of Lake Wylie and Dennis Eugene McManus of Rock Hill; three daughters, Barbara Ann Eddington of the home, and Kathy McManus and Donna Cherry, both of Rock Hill; 19 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 tonight at Wolfe Funeral Home Chapel in Fort Mill. Memorials may be made to Hospice & Community Care, P.O.
