Death

Judy Mae (Cagle) Furr, 66, of 44374 NC 740, New London, died Tuesday, May 12, 2009, at CMC-Northeast in Concord. She was born March 7, 1943 in Cabarrus County, daughter of the late Matthew Turner Cagle and the late Ida Mae (Floyd) Cagle. The family received friends from 7-9 p.m. Wednesday, May 13 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle. The family met at her home, 44374 NC 740, New London. Her funeral was at Open Door Baptist Church at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 14, 2009 with a 30-minute state. The Rev. Otis Goins and The Rev. Larry Woodall officiated. Interment was at Open Door Baptist Church Cemetery in Richfield. She was a homemaker and a member of Open Door Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl David Furr. She is survived by two sons, Mac Smith and Anthony True, both of New London; a daughter, Tonya Woodall and husband, Scott, of New London; grandchildren, Amy Smith and fiance, Richard Phelps, Ana Woodall, LCPL Matthew Woodall and LCPL Tyler Russell; and a sister, Mary Polk of Orangevale, Calif.
