Death
ROBBINS — Mrs. Laura F. Burns, 75, of Route 1, Eagle Springs, died early Friday morning at her home after a long illness. Funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Pleasant View Friends Church near Robbins. Burial will be in the Tabernacle Cemetery in Robbins. Survivors are her husband, R. H. Burns; seven daughters, Mrs. B. F. Saunders of High Point, Mrs. Clarence Bescher of Randleman, Mrs. J. M. Linthicum of Raeford, Mrs. Norman Williams of Route 1, Eagle Springs, Mrs. Clyde Brown of Route 1, Robbins, Mrs. Roly Jarrells of Coleridge, Miss Cleta Burns of the home; two sons, Junior Burns of Robbins, Clayton Burns of the home; 31 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. J. L. Burns of Route 1, Eagle Springs, Mrs. 0. N. Williams of Route 1, Eagle Springs, Mrs. Alice Cox of Snow Camp.Burial
Her headstone at the Tabernacle United Methodist Church in Robbins, North Carolina reads, "Wife of R. H. Burns Dec. 18, 1879 - Mar. 19, 1954 Gone but not Forgotten."Endnotes
