Death
Shelby J. Foster, 71, known by loved ones and friends as Jean, passed from this life to heaven on Dec. 18, 2009, after an illness of a year. She crossed over in the same manner she lived; with grace, dignity and courage accepting her fate peacefully. Jean was the daughter of Albert and Ruth Furr, both deceased, and is survived by sister, Sue, daughter, Kathy, and son, Mike, who has two children, Clinton and Danielle. Jean was married for 52 years to Jake Foster who resides in Tucson, Ariz. Jean's commitment to promises was praiseworthy and is a reflection of the way she lived her life. We are certain she is with God in His kingdom. For that, all knowing Jean should celebrate. She will be missed.Published in the Stanly News And Press on 12/30/2009
