Death

Marie Furr Edmonds Mrs. Edmonds, 79, of Starkville, MS., formerly of Charlotte, passed away on August 22, 2011 following a brief period of illness. Maxine was born on December 6, 1931 to Bertha and Floyd Furr in High Point, NC. She married Paul Edward Edmonds on July 1, 1950. She leaves to mourn her passing a host of relatives including her daughter's and their spouse's, Vicki and David Hornsby and Sandra and Greg Daniel, as well as her grandchildren, Amy Hornsby and Joe Daniel, and her sister, Willene Morrisette. Maxine will also be missed by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. The family appreciates all that knew her and gather to mourn her passing. Mother had a special place in her heart for animals and loved all she could gather. A service in celebration of her life will be 11:00 AM Saturday, August 27, 2011 in the Chapel of J.B. Tallent Funeral Service, 1937 Sharon Amity Road, Charlotte with her nephew, Pastor Mike Culler and Pastor Bobby Tallent officiating. Entombment will follow in Charlotte Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. The family will greet friends from 9:15-10:45 AM prior to the service. In honor of her passing, we would like to request that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to either the American Cancer Society or to your local Humane Society. Mother has passed across the Rainbow Bridge to meet once again with passed family members and her beloved animals who have gone before her.
