Death

Sylvia Louise Furr, 11, of Wallace Neal Rd., died Tuesday morning, Oct. 10, in a local hospital after a brief illness. She was born Nov. 5, 1949, in Lexington, daughter of Clayton Grover and Mildred Louise Shaw Furr. She attended Berryhill Baptist Church and was in the sixth grade at Berryhill Elementary School. She is survived by her parents; 2 sisters, Sandra Kay Furr of the home and Mary Ann Furr; a brother, Daniel C, Furr; her maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. James Shaw all of Lexington, N. C. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 4 p. m, from Berryhill Baptist Church. The Rev. J. Vergil Colson, minister, will officiate. Interment will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery. Active pallbearers are James C. Privette, Howard Brown, Wilton J. Taylor, Wade Mitchell, Murry Christenberry and Ronald Bass. Honorary pallbearers are James Taylor, Larry Moore, Don Privette, Steve McArver, Ennis Morgan and Dicky Neely, Arrangements by Harry and Bryant Funeral Directors.
