Death

Mr. Kenneth Wilson Furr, 76, of Belmont, passed away on Friday, July 15, 2016 at home. Visitation for family and friends will be held on Monday, July 18, 2016 from 2:00 PM until services in celebration of his life begin at 3:00PM at Greater Life Baptist Church, 17025 Lancaster Highway, Charlotte, NC 28277. Interment will be private at Salisbury National Cemetery. Mr. Furr was born on March 2, 1940 in Mecklenburg County, son to the late J.T. Furr and Margaret Bass Furr. He proudly served his Country in the US Army and worked as an Electrician for the Pineville Township for many years before retiring. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend to all and will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Survivors include his beloved wife, Beverly Furr; children Shannon Furr Davis, Kenneth Furr, Jr., and Christy Furr; granddaughters Dakota Hood and Kassie Hood; and by his sister Brenda Sanderson. Arrangements are in the care of Heritage Funeral Home, Weddington Chapel.
